Injection molding process is a commonly used plastic manufacturing process, which mainly involves injecting heated and melted particles into a mold, and then going through a series of process steps to obtain the desired product.
This process mainly includes five stages: 1 feeding, 2 melting and plasticizing, 3 injection molding and filling, 4 pressure holding/cooling, and 5 ejection and demolding. These five stages directly determine the molding quality of the product and are a complete continuous process.
From the layout of the production line, the entire granulation process can be divided into 5 stages.
The first step is feeding. The 'material' here refers to the raw material.
In the modified production process, the main component of plastic particles is still resin, and the rest are additives to achieve different functions, which is similar to the production process of lubricating oil blending. For example, POE for toughening and color masterbatch for color matching.
The second step is granulation extrusion. Where there is' feeding ', there is' eating', which is granulation extrusion, achieved through a granulation extruder.
According to the number of screws, it can be divided into single screw extrusion and twin-screw extrusion. When a single screw is working, the plastic is transported forward in a spiral shape inside the barrel. When the twin-screw is working, the plastic is transported forward in a straight line inside the barrel. According to the working principle, when the twin-screw machine is shut down, the materials inside the machine can be emptied, while the single screw machine stores a small amount of residual materials. Hante adopts twin-screw extrusion technology and has rich and powerful screw independent design capabilities. The quality of particle performance is determined by half of the screw design.
The third step is to cool the strip.
As the saying goes, an expert looks at "squeezing out" while an outsider looks at "pulling strips". For those who are new to granulation, strip cooling can be a very interesting process. Because the mixed molten resin appears in a noodle like shape through the mold mouth and is cooled by a water tank.
The fourth step: The finished products are all small particles, which are achieved through the process of cutting.
There are many ways to cut grains, which can be broadly classified into cold cutting and hot cutting. The so-called hot cutting refers to the method of cutting particles in a molten or semi molten state after the material is extruded from the die hole of the machine head; Cold cutting refers to the method of extruding materials from the die holes of the machine head, pulling them into strips, cooling them in a water tank, and then cutting them into pellets.
Different granulation processes have different requirements for the design of production lines and products. For example, when granulating materials with high melt viscosity, water-cooled hot cutting granulation must be selected.
Fifth step: Post processing packaging
Particles are inevitably mixed with metal impurities during the production process. Metal impurities not only affect the quality of the product itself, but also cause varying degrees of wear on the mold and injection molding machine. Therefore, metal impurity removal is a very important and easily overlooked process.
