Humic acid is a macromolecular organic substance found widely in nature and widely used in agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry, petroleum, chemical industry, building materials, medicine, health care, and environmental protection. The current promotion of ecological agriculture, pollution-free agricultural production, green food, and environmentally friendly practices has made humic acid highly sought after.

PRODUCT USES

In agriculture, humic acid fertilizers made by combining it with nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium (for example, ammonium phytate fertilizer can be made by neutralizing humic acid with ammonia) can enhance fertilizer efficiency, improve soil quality, stimulate crop growth, and enhance the quality of agricultural products. Nitrohumic acid can be used as an acidifier for rice seedling cultivation.

Humic acid magnesium, humic acid zinc, and humic acid urea iron are effective in supplementing magnesium deficiencies in soil, zinc deficiencies in corn, and iron deficiencies in fruit trees, respectively. Humic acid can be used in combination with pesticides such as herbicide ether and atrazine to enhance their efficacy and reduce residual toxicity. Sodium humate is effective in treating apple rot.

Industry

In industry, sodium humate is used to condition ceramic clay; prevent scale buildup in low-pressure boilers and locomotive boilers; humic acid ion exchangers are used to treat heavy metal-containing wastewater; sulfonated sodium humate is used as a cement water reducer; humic acid products are also used as a treatment agent for oil drilling mud; and purified humic acid is used as a cathode expander in lead-acid batteries.

ANIMAL HUSBANDRY

In animal husbandry, sodium humate is used to stop bleeding in deer antlers, and nitrohumic acid urea complexes are also effective as cattle feed additives.
